Recent studies reveal a link between poor Indoor Air Quality and cardiovascular health, especially if you are over 50. Researchers have always that known that air pollution increases a persons risk of heart disease. For the first time, though, they are studying the connection with IAQ. Endothelial cells line the surface of blood vessels and our heart. The endothelial cell Microvascular Function (MVF) is vital and reduces the workload on the heart.

When MVF is reduced, by stress or inflammation, our body can be exposed to various cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis.
