Daikin | Ultra Cold Climate Heat Pump Technology
At the Daikin booth, we saw an impressive demonstrative of ultra cold climate heat pump technology. The system delivered 100% capacity at a simulated 5-degree outdoor temperature with 98-degree supply air, and had been previously tested down to -17 degrees.
These advancements highlight how modern heat pumps continue to evolve; offering reliable heating even in extreme conditions.
For homeowners in Richmond and Central Virginia, this type of innovation supports the growing shift towards high-efficiency and electric heating solutions.
Movex | Source Capture & Fume Removal Systems
One of the most exciting discoveries at the AHR Expo was Movex and their adjustable source-capture systems. These devices are designed to remove fumes directly at the source and are commonly used in welding environments, medical labs, and manufacturing facilities.
With features like flexible positioning and integrated task lighting, these systems offer innovative indoor air quality solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Even better, the products are American-made in Pennsylvania, aligning with our focus on quality and long-term reliability.
PolarPad | Adjustable Horizontal Discharge Feet
We were excited to finally see PolarPad in person at AHR Expo. Their patented, adjustable equipment feet are designed specifically for new horizontal discharge HVAC systems. Fully customizable and secure, these products help improve system stability, simplify installation, ands support long-term performance.
Innovations like this allow our installers to deliver cleaner, more reliable HVAC installations across Richmond and surrounding areas.
Hisense | Commercial Heating & Cooling Technology
At the Hisense booth, we explored a wide range of commercial HVAC solutions – including chillers and underground infrastructure systems designed for high-rise buildings and data centers. Their product visuals showcased the complexity and scale involved in large commercial applications.
These types of systems play a crucial role in modern building design and highlight the advanced engineering behind large-scale heating and cooling systems.
Gree | Global Heating & Cooling Innovation
At AHR Expo, the James River Air team stopped by the Gree booth to check out their heating and cooling products and connect with the team behind the brand. Known globally for HVAC innovation, Gree showcased a range of systems designed to support comfort, efficiency, and performance across a variety of applications.
Beyond the technology, the booth brought some personality to the show floor – complete with panda bears. Fun Fact: panda bears are officially no longer endangered, so everything is good 🙂
BLKMA | Automatic Duct-Making Technology
BLKMA’s automatic duct-making machine stood out as a powerful example of fabrication innovation. This compact system operates like a mini-coil line – beading, cutting, and processing five-foot metal using a dual-coil setup.
Technology like this highlights how automation can improve efficiency, precision, and consistency in sheet metal fabrication, ultimately leading to a better-performing HVAC system for our clients.
