The Single Family Project Award is recognition of the project that demonstrates the most outstanding levels of green building including energy efficiency, resource conservation, durability and sustainability. Inc. of Richmond’s “Solar Idea House” was the” greenest” home of the 302 EarthCraft homes certifying in 2010 throughout Virginia. The reception recognized more than 220 EarthCraft Builders 60 developers throughout the Commonwealth. Remarks were conveyed from Senator Warner by David Hallock State Director. Don Ritenour, Virginia Housing Development Authority’s Managing Director of Development delivered the keynote address and accepted the Visionary Award on behalf of VHDA.

Our commercial service department knows that when you’re cleaning coils, it’s important to use the right type of cleaner for the type of coil you’re cleaning.
Today we found that one of our commercial clients in Richmond, VA has some units that, although only 2 years old, look like they are about 15 years old… all because the wrong type of coil cleaner was used on them! It has damaged the coils so much that they will probably need to be replaced.

On a recent inspection of one of our contract customer’s gas furnace, we found a cracked heat exchanger. After sending out another technician to verify the diagnosis, we recommended replacing the unit with a new, smaller, more efficient one since the old furnace was over 20 years old!
We installed a new James River Select by Lennox ML180 furnace and reworked the flue pipe as needed.

Today we were fortunate to have Dr. Michael Albanese visit our office and give a group of our employees a presentation on health and wellness. We learned about the “five essentials of health” and some of the ways we can help improve our well-being; it was very informative! Dr. Albanese has visited many local businesses and he has a very positive message!
